Good Morning

After a very long hiatus from the internet of which I blissfully have nothing to show, I am taking virtual paper in hand once again. As surprised as I am to say this, it feels good, as if I've come home after a very much needed vacation.

I wish I had things of production to show you, but truthfully I've done very little during my time away. I've painted very little (although what I have done will be shown here once I woo my scanner into working properly again), and I've knitted everything and nothing. What I can say I have been doing, however, is rekindling my passion for those things that truly make me tick, such as spirituality and family and motherhood and home. So while I may not have anything physical to produce to you fine readers, I have reaped a wealth of things within.

*** *** *** ***

Currently, my husband, the Boromir-of-my-heart, and I are sharing a computer. Yes, it finally happened; my dinosaur of a monitor went kaput. I would grieve, except it's really the excuse I needed to get a flat one like the one Robert has, except not as big. However, as things may be, it's just not in our finances to do so (a nasty bout of identity theft where someone hacks into your bank account and spends nearly $800.00 on porn sites will put that kind of a hault on one's excess spending). Alas, this leads us to sharing a computer, which is not at all bad, but it does limit my time on it a bit. He has, blessfully, been allowed to work remotely as of late (thanks to insane gas prices) and so is at the computer most of the day. Other than that, it works out for us very well. Of course, I'm going to have to move the printer and scanner over here, for it was hooked up to my system and not his, and that may take a while for him and I do not place the same priorities on such things (my Ralvery free knitting patterns are screaming to be printed, but somehow that urgency falls on a non-knitters dead ears. "It's not like you don't have enough projects going on!" Huh. That is so not the point). All in all, it works out pretty well.

Hmm, I had not realized how late it has become. It's almost 3 o'clock, and soon it will be time to pick up my children from school. I also want to snazz the blog up a bit with links and such pretties, so I'm going to see what I can get done before I'm off in the rain to brave the streets.

See you soon.:)
